Therefore it is important that you insure your belongings when they are moved. The premium is based on the principle of "averaging" whereby you insure both the lowvalue (and low risk) items as well as the high value (and high risk) ones. If you insure ONLY the high value items, the quoted premium rate will not apply. Please use the attached forms or contact us for hard copies of them. You should value your possessions based on their replacement value at destination. Items that are relatively cheaper to buy in Malaysia, such as rosewood furniture, should be valued at what it would cost to replace that item in your destination country. Music CDs are another good example. A music CD in Malaysia will typically cost 10-12 US Dollars. In London the same CD will cost 19-22 US Dollars.
