Welcome to Malaysia! Our aim is to give you a very warm welcome and help you set up your new home as quickly and easily as possible.
We will assign a Move Coordinator to oversee the entire importation and delivery process and communicate with you.

Import Formalities

Our overseas partner will supply us with the basic documents we need for customs clearance, namely a bill of lading and packing list in English.
The owner of the shipment needs to supply us with:

• Passport copy with current entry stamp into Malaysia
• Copy of work permit/work permit application/ letter from local employer

Delivery

On the delivery day(s), we will
 
• Fully unpack and position the entire shipment
• Assemble ALL items that require non-specialist attention
• Send a Crown Line Relocation Specialist to your residence to attend to any needs or queries that may have arisen
• Remove all packing debris
• Present you with our Welcome Pack

Pets

You can import a normal household pet i.e. dogs, cats and birds to Malaysia.
In order to do so you will need:
 
• An export permit and/or health certificate from the exporting country. This must state that the   animal is free from rabies and other communicable diseases. 
• An import permit. This must be applied for before the animal is shipped to Malaysia. Crown Line   can obtain this document on your behalf. We require the export permit/health certificate, the   animals health records and vaccination history and full particulars i.e. breed, sex, age.

Quarantine

Malaysia imposes a mandatory 30-day quarantine period. However, it is possible for the owner to
appeal to the authorities to have much of the quarantine conducted at the owner's residence. In
practice, a pet is usually quarantined for a week for observation. If the owner appeals and the
authorities are satisfied that the animals is free from disease, the animal will be released to the
owner to complete the quarantining at home.

Motor Vehicles

An Approval Permit must be obtained prior to import. Duties are very high - 60% for motorcycles and 170-300% for cars.
As such very few people import a private motor vehicle to Malaysia. Crown Line is able to assist with importing a vehicle.
